What actually happens?

1) Your gums and mouth are protected with isolation materials and a "before" picture is taken.

2) The whitening gel is professionally applied and activated by light source while you relax.

3) After three 20-minute applications over a one-hour period, your whitening is completed and your "After" picture is taken.

4) You rinse. You smile. WOW!

How white will my teeth get?

Clinical studies show that our whitening process results in an average of eight shades lighter and even higher for individuals with darker teeth. Your results, of course, will vary as your starting point may be different and everyone's teeth respond a little differently. During the consultation, the dentist will go over what you personally can expect for your individual situation.

What if I have sensitive teeth?

The Sapphire teeth whitening process is typically completely painless. Less than 10% of our clients may experience a dull ache following the procedure. Taking an analgesic almost always resolves the feeling. If there is any tooth sensitivity, it is best to avoid very hot or very cold drinks for the first 24 hours.

Does it work with caps, veneers or bonds?

The Sapphire professional teeth whitening treatment has been successful at removing stains from caps, veneers or bonded teeth. However, a whitening procedure in general cannot change the color of the caps, veneers or bonds. We recommend that you discuss your situation with Dr. Davis to determine what you can expect.

How long does it last?

The long-term results depend primarily on the individual. Certain habits, such as the use of tobacco products, drinking a lot of coffee, tea, dark soft drinks and infrequent visits to the dentist for regular cleanings, etc., can work against the results. Some people may prefer to do the Sapphire whitening treatment more frequently
